• Antispasmodic, smooth muscle relaxant, without typical anticholinergic side effects. such as dry mouth. blurred vision. and impaired micturition
• Markedly decreases daily defecation frequencies, and stool consistencies became well formed
• 200 mg BID was shown to be therapeutically equivalent to mebeverine 135 mg TID in treatment of abdominal pain in IBS without a higher incidence of adverse effects
